p.s. Is anyone else having trouble logging in with Blogger? I've tried various things and found that the ONLY way I could log in was to retreive my old non-Google account.

This looks like a scene from my house, Steph! I have had problems with blogger on and off and for me (now, I'm just a commenter, so it might be different), I had to sign into a google account first before blogger let me proceed to sign in. It made no sense to me, and it still doesn't, but that's what works. Hope that helps :)
